Q u o t e:

Im not saying that there arent cases of extreme addiction with wow that have ended badly.
But any game can be addictive.

Lemme fix that statement...

AnyTHING can be addictive.

Ever ran into a completely addicted Golfer? Sheesh man.... lol - it's a good game, but wow.
Some addictions don't last long - street racing, and bungee jumping/skydiving on occasions... hehe

I know a few people - the type that would be quick to bash an avid wow player... They sit watching sitcoms and those stupid cartoons on TV. How drull - seriously - are there really different sitcoms or are they all the same?

I'm not sure - I grew up in the 70's and the sitcoms then made me puke then. The best answer to that EVER was the Atari 2600, lol - I was in heaven... No more Price is Right, Three's Company, or other mind-numbing garbage - I could actually INTERACT with the TV now, not just sit there and drool in a cup, watching some half-ass thrown together show so that they can get me to watch commercials.

Once video games came out - I had zero use for sitcoms... No, I've seen maybe one episode of CSI, maybe 3 Seinfeld's, and probably less of the rest. I like a Good movie or documentary - but I'd prefer to be out working in the yard, cleaning/improving the house, working on my car, playing with the dog, shopping... etc.. etc.. to watching most of those series on TV. There's a few - very limited - shows I like on TV, I might DVR them, but I certainly won't change my schedule to watch them.

Sports nuts drive me the most insane. I like sports too - but for the love of God, there's a limit I wouldn't even cross with video games some of these people practically worship their game of choice.

Gambling Addicts are even worse still - in the past I've worked at my fair share of gas stations - and these lottery idiots would stand there doing scratch offs - holding up a line of people, cause they were in morbid fear of someone else buying the winning ticket that they 'deserved', lol. Seriously... no lie - I had one actually say that. And God help you if you get between a casino junky and their night at the casino, and may God even more help the person at their favorite one-armed bandit!!! (Slot machine).

I guess anything's bad if carried too far - even exercise.
